REVIEWS
Sometimes you get a review that shows the reader really gets your story, what you're trying to say. This is one of those and it warms my heart. It's for Skip Quincy, Short Stop.
"One by one the Nighthawks have been hitting home runs in the love department. Skip is thought to be a ladies man, he has always focused on his game and being the best at his position. Finding a bed warmer has never been a problem as he does not have time for commitment, baseball comes first. However, his heart and mind might have different ideas when Francie comes into his life. Skip definitely will touch your heart and the insecurities that he deals with really touched home with me. Losing his parents at a young age, the frightening prospect of a new family and never feeling good enough made this character really come to life. His struggles of self worth and doubt are something many deal with everyday. He was lucky to have the support system he did to provide him the tools to succeed as many are not so blessed. Francie was a bright light that drew Skip providing acceptance and love. Both characters needed to be "seen for who they were" and feel worthy of having someone love the unconditionally. Ms. Joachim writes a mean story, awesome characters, interesting situations and I always find an underling message to enlighten and sometimes inspire me. Abuse comes in many forms and words can damage just as much as a physical hit. Always remember you can't take back something that you say, a kind word or saying nothing is better then making someone else feel worthless." N.D.

A beautiful description of a stone beach house and it’s being brought back to its glory.

Bess is happy for her friend and only wishes she had a better relationship with her guy, a cop named Terry, he worked undercover and could only visit on Friday nights. Bess likes him but isn't sure if he's the "one".
When Bess has a new neighbor TV broadcast journalist Whit Bass, she quickly realizes he's a womanizer of the highest caliber. They become casual friends after he realizes she's a fantastic cook.
Bess and Walt end up becoming "very close" after several incidents that effect both of them for different. It's an up and down relationship. That causes a lot of grief for Bess and a lot of anguish and regret for Walt.
The Dinner Club members are there for Bess but, Walt has a lot of learning to get through on his own. This storyline has a lot of twists and turns. Walt has a lot to live up to and even more to live down. Great read!
